Welcome to Balnarring Medical Centre

Balnarring Medical Centre is a well-established general practice, operating for over 45 years.

Doctors here are committed to providing the highest quality medical care to residents 

of Balnarring, Somers, Merricks, Red Hill, Bittern, Hastings and the broader Mornington Peninsula.  

GPs see people of all ages and diversity, from newborns to the elderly.

We are a private billing clinic. 

 Bulk billing is available for aged pensioners and children under 16 years.

We are a fully accredited practice with AGPAL.

A double appointment is required for new patient appointments.

We are constantly looking for more GPs to add to practice at Balnarring Medical Centre.


We have 6 doctors consulting Monday to Friday, from 8.30am-5pm. 

Advance appointments and on the day appointments are available.

New patients are not seen on a Saturday

If you have respiratory symptoms during the COVID-19 pandemic

Do not enter the clinic if you have any cold or flu like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or have experienced these in the past 14 days. Please call the clinic on 5983 1355 for advice.


If you have cold or flu like symptoms, even if these are mild, you need to attend a local 

GP Respiratory Clinic as soon as possible to get tested/assessed. GPs can only assess you appropriately once this has been done and you have received a negative result. 

Testing at GP Respiratory Clinics located in Hastings and Rosebud, can now include a rapid antigen test (RAT) with results in approximately 30 minutes as well as PCR testing. 


To reduce the risk for everyone, protocols are in place to ensure COVID safe measures and distancing and require patients entering the clinic (over the age of 12 years) to wear a face mask.
